PI82635: DFHWS2LS UTILITY FAILS WITH JAVA.NIO.CHARSET.ILLEGALCHARSETNAMEEXCEPTION IN CICS TS 5.3

Error description

• Although working successfully in CICS TS 5.1, the DFHWS2LS
  utility encounters an error in CICS TS 5.3, with the following
  java messages:
  
  java.nio.charset.IllegalCharsetNameException:

  These java messages are augmented with the following error
  messages:
  
  DFHPI9500E An internal error has occurred. Please contact IBM
    Support.
  DFHPI9558E ERRORS have been generated processing file
    "/my_directory_path/myfile.wsdl".
  
  At CICS TS 5.3, the value of the PDSCP parameter is used by the
  DFHWS2LS utility to create a Charset.  The code checks that the
  PDSCP parameter is provided, but doesn't check whether a value
  was specified, causing the exception.
  

Local fix

• Remove the PDSCP= line from the DFHWS2LS parameters to prevent
  this error. Alternatively, specify a non-null value, even if
  the default of CP037 is required.

  When using DFHWS2LS for WSDL to high-level language
  conversion, the parameter PDSCP was set with value of empty
  string in the JCL, like "PDSCP=". DFHWS2LS failed with the
  error messages in the LOGFILE as follows.
  
  java.nio.charset.IllegalCharsetNameException
  and then message
  DFHPI9500E An internal error has occurred. Please contact IBM
  Support.
  
  The similar result for DFHJS2LS and DFHSC2LS with "PDSCP=" set
  in the JCL.
  

Problem conclusion

• The WebServices Assistants have been changed to tolerate when
  the PDSCP parameter is set without a value.
