APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When the REORG data sort is using the variable-length block
  level E15 interface, there are certain situations when the
  number of records returned by the E15 for each call is less than
  anticipated, resulting in an abnormal termination. This PTF
  recognizes this situation and makes an adjustment to address the
  abnormal termination.
  
  DB2 Sort needs more storage than initially planned in order to
  finish the output phase.

Local fix

• Until the PTF is available, add the NOVB15 to a DB2SORTI DD.
  
  You can code the DB2SORTI DD instream, as follows:
