Error description

  • When running the APPLY job, error message:
    SQLCODE = -876, ERROR: 'INDEX' CANNOT BE CREATED OR ALTERED
    
    The TS source is a UTS PBG, its index is defined with a
    PIECESIZE to 4G. One of the columns in the source table
    contains a column with NULL by default. The target TS is a
    segmented TS and its index is defined with a PIECESIZE 2G,
    which is the maximum value allowed for this type of TS.
    The column is now NOT NULL.  SQLCODEN876

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using Object Compare, the          *
    *                      table space was changed from            *
    *                      segmented or simple tablespace          *
    *                      to partitioned tablespace.This          *
    *                      change put the table space in           *
    *                      Pending state. If the index was         *
    *                      dropped and created and the             *
    *                      index's PIECESIZE is 4G, this           *
    *                      Pending state would cause an            *
    *                      SQLCODE=-876 / SQLCODEN876              *
    *                      when the index was created:             *
    *                                                              *
    *                      SQLCODE = -876, ERROR:                  *
    *                      'INDEX' CANNOT BE CREATED               *
    *                      OR ALTERED                              *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    The source tablespace was partitioned and the target
    tablespace was segmented or simple and the index was
    dropped and created. If the index was defined with a
    PIECESIZE 4G, when running the APPLY job, error
    message SQLCODE=-876 is observed:
    
    SQLCODE = -876, ERROR: 'INDEX' CANNOT BE
    CREATED OR ALTERED
