Error description

  • The Full-Function DB Sensor generates incorrect values for some
sensor data elements when VSAM statistics are invalid.
If the incorrect values are not acceptable for IBM Tools Base,
the sensor data elements are not stored in the ITB Sensor
    repository and MSG BBE1451E appears.

This problem occurs in the following condition:
     - The database data set is VSAM
     - Close of the VSAM had failed before DB Sensor run

The incorrect VSAM statistics are explained in APAR "II14008:
IDCAMS LISTCAT SHOWS INVALID IN THE STATISTICS SECTION".

    ****************************************************************
When VSAM close operation had been failure, VSAM statistics in
Catalog became invalid. In this condition, DB Sensor cannot
calculate some of DB Sensor elements correctly. As the result,
so that DB Sensor generates incorrect Sensor data elements or
DB Sensor issues MSGBBE1451E and RC=08.
For details of Invalid VSAM Statistics, refer APAR II14008 in
    IBM Support web site.

    |System Action:
    | DB Sensor stores Sensor data elements other than the above
    | and continues processing.
    |User Response:
    | To store the above Sensor data elements, refer APAR II14008
