Error description

  • A LOAD statement (LOADDDN option) containing an invalid DATE
EXTERNAL(4) specification is generated whenever all the
    following conditions apply:
    - the target table has a date type column
    - a conversion from a date expression into a DATE format is
requested via an INTO or a REFORMAT clause
    - the DSNTIAUL format is request
As the conversion into a DATE type request implies the date
column to be unload in internal format, the data cannot be
reload by the IBM load utility and no valid LOAD statement can
    be generated.

Local fix

  • if the data must be reloaded by the IBM LOAD utility, either do
no request the conversion from date type columns into DATE or
request a conversion into DATE EXTERNAL so that the date is
unloaded in external format. If the internal date format is
expected, remove the LOADDDN option as this prevent the data to
be loaded by the IBM LOAD utility.
