Error description
The following error occurs in Rational ClearTeam Explorer (CTE) when a you try to create an automatic view: CcException: Status code: 20034; status message: Unable to complete RPC to WAN server.Status code from RPC = 503 reason: conflict resource: null The error occurs when the environment variable named http_proxy (or the https_proxy variable or both) exists on the CTE client. The rview_agent process that is generated when tryng to create an automatic view should ignore the http_proxy variable, and only use the proxy details specified in the CTE GUI (Windows > Preferences > IBM Rational ClearTeam Explorer > Connections), or, if it is being used, the CM API. Despite this, the rview_agent process sends a request to the url specified in the http_proxy variable. That request fails and generates the HTTP 503 error. The same behavior occurs when trying to create the automatic view from the command-line with the rcleartool mkview command. To reproduce in CTE 8.0.1.13 or 9.0.0.3 1. Create the user environment variable http_proxy and set its value to the http://ServerName:PortNumber of a server unrelated to the Automatic View server 2. Reboot the CTE client 3. After rebooting, open CTE and login to the Automatic View server 4. Try to create an automatic view.
Local fix
Delete the http_proxy variable
