APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When users reorder the menu items in RDz v9.5.1 remote systems
details view they're no longer able to open the customize table
view.

Steps to recreate:
1.  Open Remote System Details.
2.  Rearrange columns and click on the icon 'Select columns to
display in the table', notice the Customize Table window does
not open.

Workaround:
None

Local fix

  • NA

Problem summary

  • After moving the first column of the Remote System Details view
to another position, the Customize columns dialog fails to work.

Problem conclusion

  • The Remote System Details view was not designed to allow
changing the order of the first column.  When that happens, any
Customize columns support breaks.  To prevent the Customize
Table failure, RSE must prevent the user from moving the first
column.
