Error description

  • The SSID(subsystem-name) command may lead the user to the
ADB2SYS ('Active DB2 Systems') panel instead of to the
subsystem specified in the command.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
* USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool         *
*                 for z/OS who use the SSID command.           *
****************************************************************
* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After using the SSID command the user   *
*                      gets to the ADB2SYS panel where all     *
*                      DB2 subsystem IDs are shown.            *
****************************************************************
* RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
****************************************************************
The SSID command should exit the current DB2 subsystem and
start a new Admin session on the DB2 subsystem ID specified
and display the first DB2 Admin panel (ADB). If the user/
installation has specified the SHOW keyword for the ADBL clist,
panel ADB2SYS will be displayed.
