PI72052: VOLCNT NOT RESPECTED WHEN SPECIFIED IN THE UTILGBL PARMS

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When the VOLCNT or DSNTYPE parameter is *
  *                      specified in the UTILGBL parameters it  *
  *                      is not respected and the default value  *
  *                      of 1 is ued as the VOLCNT value and     *
  *                      BASIC is used as the DSNTYPE value.     *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  * Specify VOLCNT and/or DSNTYPE in the IC parameters.          *
  ****************************************************************
  The parameter validation process looks for VOLCNT and DSNTYPE on
  each line of parameters specified in the SYSIN file. When the
  VOLCNT parameter is found it is correctly set but if a
  successive SYSIN line is specified after VOLCNT is set the
  default value of 1 replaces the VOLCNT previously validated and
  set.
  When DSNTYPE is specified in the UTILGBL parameters
  RWSP_COMPRTN is incorrectly used when setting the final value
  for DSNTYPE.
  

Problem conclusion

• IMS Database Recovery Facility is corrected to set VOLCNT to the
  default of 1 only after all SYSIN parameters have been processed
  and no VOLCNT is found and to use RWSP_DSNTYPE when setting the
  final value for DSNTYPE.
