Error description
Within Cognos Analytics 11 attempt to run a report in the background and select the delivery method as Send the report by email option. The current user logged into Cognos Analytics 11 is NOT defaulted within the TO email address field. The end users have to perform additional steps to search and select user from Authentication Namespace to select themselves.
Local fix
Select send TO user Email address manually by navigating the Authentication Namespace or type in the TO email address manually.
