  • Trying to SET special register Current Query Acceleration the
    following message is issued:
    
    QUERY MESSAGES:
    Invalid value for CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION register.
    THE DESCRIBE STATEMENT DOES NOT SPECIFY A PREPARED STATEMENT
    
    Exiting from QMF panel the following message is displayed:
    
    DSQ21869 THE REPLACEMENT VALUE FOR CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION IS
    INVALID
    
    There is no problem using the QMF v10 SDSQLOAD.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: After setting the CURRENT QUERY         *
    *                      ACCELERATION special register within a  *
    *                      QMF session, users may see error        *
    *                      DSQ10496 'THE REPLACEMENT VALUE FOR     *
    *                      CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION IS INVALID.' *
    *                      during CONNECT, EXIT or other times     *
    *                      during the QMF session.  Users may also *
    *                      see a SQLCODE713 or DSQ21869 reflecting *
    *                      this error.                             *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    If users run a SQL query to set the CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION
    that involves an equal sign like this:
    
    SET CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION=ALL
    
    QMF will improperly evaluation the '=' equal sign as a value.
    

Problem conclusion

  • QMF has been fixed to properly evaluate the '=' (equal sign)
    when processing the setting of the CURRENT QUERY ACCELERATION
    special register.
