APAR status
Closed as program error.
Error description
When running a large program, the resulting application produces a FS=30 FS2=8 error at runtime for ISAM files.
Local fix
N/A
Problem summary
USERS AFFECTED: COBOL users with large STL relative or indexed files and random/dynamic access maybe affected by this issue. PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: A flaw in buffer management could cause file corruption. It was possible to have the same offset in the file in both a data and index buffer; and which gets written last could vary.
Problem conclusion
Buffer management has been corrected such that only one buffer at a time will have any given offset in the file.
Temporary fix
