PI70326: COMPARE GENERATES A WSL WITH TWO REORGS WHEN A PARTITION IS BEING ADDED TO A TABLE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If Run REORG/REBUILD is set to 'A' always, and a partition is
  being added to a table, Compare may generate two separate
  REORGs, one after the ALTER to lower the high value of the
  current last partition, and the second after the ALTER to add a
  partition.  Since the second ALTER has not been executed, the
  REORG after the first ALTER may cause data loss.

  DB2 Object Comparison Tool compares two tables and specifies
  "Run REORG/REBUILD" = A on panel GOC5. The table needs to have
  the limit key of the last partition updated, and to have a new
  partition added. In the APPLY job, after the update to the
  limit key of the last partition, there is a REORG utility to be
  executed. This REORG causes data loss, as some of the data
  has been discarded.
