APAR status

Error description

  • SAVE QUERY AS SID..SOMEQUERY
    seems to work OK as the QUERY gets saved as expected in the
    database.
    
    However issuing DI SID..SOMEQUERY returns
       DSQ20317 SID.SOMEQUERY cannot be found.
    
    On review we see the query is not saved as SID.SOMEQUERY but as
    authid.SOMEQUERY

    * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V10.1, v11.1 and V11.2  *
    *                 QBE users.                                   *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The user is a QMF Administrator. When   *
    *                      the user tries to SAVE a QBE query to a *
    *                      different owner id, the user is unable  *
    *                      to. The query will always be saved to   *
    *                      his own id. For example: User SD1AGO is *
    *                      a QMF Administrator. He attempts to     *
    *                      issue the SAVE QUERY AS NEWID.QBENEW    *
    *                      command. The user receives a message    *
    *                      'OK, QUERY was saved as NEWID.QBENEW in *
    *                      the database.' When the user tries to   *
    *                      DISPLAY NEWID.QBENEW, he cannot find    *
    *                      it. It was saved as 'SD1AGO.QBENEW'. It *
    *                      should have been saved as               *
    *                      'NEWID.QBENEW'.                         *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    The QBE SAVE process had not been updated for QMF Administrator
    support.
