PI65070: DB2 ADMIN TOOL IBM0802S ONCODE=1002 THE GET/PUT STRING EXCEEDED THE SOURCE STRING SIZE.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• After entering a line command or when using CM Batch, the
  following error may occur:
  
  IBM0802S ONCODE=1002  The GET/PUT STRING exceeded the source
           string size. From entry point SETUP at statement 334
           at compile unit offset +00000206 at entry offset
           +00000206 at address 1B9BF526.
  
  The reason for above ABEND is that the user's TSO Command
  Scan routine IKJSCAN breaks a command into two at a semicolon
  causing the TSO commands to be truncated at the semicolon and
  to fail.  The syntaxt of TSO commands that DB2 Admin Tool
  recognizes is similar with the following example:
     ISPSTART SELECT PGM(pgmname) PARM('p1=v1,,,,pn=pn;')
  where the parms are in PL/I GET DATA format.
  

Local fix

• Modify TSO Command Scan Routine IKJSCAN/IKJSCANR usermod to
  ignore a semicolon inside a quoted string so to be able to
  process the syntax of TSO Command that Admin Tool uses.
  Also have to handle two single quotes e.g in PARM('A=''B'';')
  With this modification, this APAR is not needed.
