PI64295: LOB/XML PROBLEMS WITH DROPPED OBJECT MODE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When using dropped object mode and including LOB or XML column
  types, issues have arisen where the SQL cannot be generated.
  A U044 abend was reported, but other issues may also occur
  because the old and new IDs representnig the LOB or XML
  object(s) (in dropped object mode) may not be handled properly
  while reading the DB2 logs. Therefore, some needed log records
  for the LOB or XML data may be bypassed. A workaround is to
  set the OBID values of the LOB or XML object(s) to zeros.
  The DBID and PSID values must still be valid for the LOB or
  XML objects. The base table IDs (i.e., the table containing
  the LOB or XML columns) are not affected.
