**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: IBM IMS Database Repair Facility (DBRF) for * * z/OS Version 3 Release 1 (FMID=H22K310) * * users who run interactively. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR fixes the problems when you * * run the IMS Database Repair Facility * * interactively and try to process an * * OSAM data set whose block size is * * different from the block size defined * * in the DBD or the RECON data sets. * * * * This APAR also fixes the problem that * * MSGFABZ028E is wrongly issued when you * * run the IMS Database Repair Facility * * interactively and try to process an * * HALDB M-side data set. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. * **************************************************************** This APAR fixes the following problems when you run the IMS Database Repair Facility interactively and try to process an OSAM data set whose block size is different from the block size defined in the DBD for an HDAM or HIDAM database or the RECON data sets for a PHDAM or PHIDAM database: - After a root key of the HDAM or PHDAM database is specified on the Initial selection panel, MSGFABZ083S is wrongly issued. - After a block number of the HD database is specified on the Initial selection panel, the block is not correctly displayed on the Block data panel. - After the FSE chain or RAPs option is specified for the HDAM or HIDAM database on the Initial selection panel, the Free Space Element Chain panel or the RAP Pointers panel is not correctly displayed. Additionally, this APAR fixes the problem that MSGFABZ028E is wrongly issued under the following conditions: - IMS Database Repair Facility is run interactively for a PHDAM or PHIDAM database. - The active database data set is the M-side data set. - A root key of the HALDB is specified on the Initial selection panel.
