PI61918: RUNSTATS MIN SHOULD NOT BE GENERATED IF INDEX IS CREATED ON A NEW TABLE

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• RUNSTATS MIN are generated if index is created on a new
  table, this is not desired. DB2 Admin Tool should generate
  RUNSTATS MIN if a new index is created on existing table but
  not for a new index on a new table. Other conditions for
  generating RUNSTATS MIN will not change.

Problem conclusion

• For option RUNSTATS MIN the RUNSTATS utility will not be
  not be generated for a new index created on a new table.
  RUNSTATS will continue to be generated if a new index is
  created on an existing table.
