  *                 Package', ADB21KRN 'Rebind SQL Function      *
  *                 Package', or ADB21KF 'Free Package' or       *
  *                 the Change Management process to REBIND      *
  *                 or FREE packages who applied APAR PI50420.   *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS        *
  *                      APAR PI50420 did not declare its        *
  *                      dependency on DB2 for z/OS              *
  *                      APAR PI39393.  DB2 Administration       *
  *                      Tool for z/OS REBIND statement          *
  *                      generates an invalid double quote       *
  *                      around the package version that         *
  *                      contains delimiters after applying      *
  *                      APAR PI50420 PTF if DB2 for z/OS        *
  *                      APAR PI39393 is not applied.            *

  *                      PACKAGE commands failing with an        *

  Program misses logic to detect whether the version-id contains
  special characters or not.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved for the following:
  
  1- When detecting double quotes around the version-id, a
  REBIND/FREE PACKAGE will not generate extra double quotes
  around the version-id.
  
  2- When detecting any character in the version-id that does
  not exist in the following common list:
  
  'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz
  0123456789@#$._-'
  
  DB2 Admin will add double quotes around the version-id
  for the REBIND/FREE PACKAGE command.
  
  3- If any characters in the version-id are in the following
  list:
  
  'ABCDEFGHIJKLMNOPQRSTUVWXYZabc
  defghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz0123456789@#$._-',
  
  DB2 Admin will not generate extra double quotes around the
  version-id.  Otherwise if the version-id contains a special
  character, then it relies on DB2 APAR PI39393, and DB2 Admin
  will generate double quotes around the version-id for the
  REBIND/FREE package command.
