PI57767: PERFORMANCE PROBLEM DISPLAYING XML DATA WITH CW FORM

Error description

• Performance problem displaying XML data with CW form in QMF
  v11.2, but not v11.1

Problem summary

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Displaying and scrolling through        *
  *                      reports with XML data types may have    *
  *                      decreased performance from earlier      *
  *                      releases of QMF.                        *

  When specifying the 'C' or 'CW' edit code on forms run against
  XML data can cause unnecessary retrieval of report data. This is
  causing the performance issue seen by the customer. Note that
  this problem may also be seen with LOB data when run with the
  'C' or 'CW' edit code.
  

Problem conclusion

• QMF mistakenly thought the data was DBCS data and was taking
  precautions to preserve the integrity of the data. The DBCS data
  flag was set in error and has been amended to accurately be set.
