    Volume/Device-Type report when Space Monitor runs for data sets
    on the DASD volume that is not EAV and has more than 32767
    cylinders.

    *                 users who run Space Monitor.                 *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Space Monitor prints wrong values in    *
    *                      the Space Monitor reports when running  *
    *                      for data sets on the 3390-A volume that *
    *                      is non-EAV and has over 32767           *
    *                      cylinders.                              *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *
    ****************************************************************
    When Space Monitor (SPMN) runs for data sets on the 3390 model A
    DASD volume that is not the Extended Address Volume (EAV) and
    has more than 32767 cylinders, SPMN prints wrong values in the
    following report fields:
    - The "DEVICE TYPE" and "OTHER ALLOC CYLS" fields of the Total
      DASD Utilization by Volume/Device-Type report.
    - The "UNIT" fields of the Space Analysis by Data Set report,
      the Summary of Data Sets by Volume report, and the Space
      Monitor Exception report.
    - The device type that is shown at the top of Y-axis in the
      Space Monitor Graph report.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The FABKCOLL module has been modified to fix the error.
