Error description
ABEND04E RC00E70005 IN SQL10055 P216 CAN OCCUR WHEN DB2 LUW SERVER ISSUES AN AUTHORIZATION WARNING FOR A SQLPL STATEMENT FROM DB2 Z/OS REQUESTER
Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All DB2 10 and 11 for z/OS users of native * * SQL procedures. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: An ABEND04E RC00E70005 at DSNXGRDS * * DSNXRSPL P216 can occur when a native * * SQL procedure processes an SQLCA * * generated by a non-DB2 for z/OS server. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** An ABEND04E RC00E70005 can occur at location DSNXGRDS DSNXRSPL P216 when a native SQL procedure processes an SQLCA that is generated by a non-DB2 for z/OS server. The failure occurs because DB2 did not correctly process an SQLCA that is not generated by DB2 for z/OS. The following example helps to illustrate such a failing case. Step ONE. At a DB2 for z/OS requester system, a native SQL procedure attempts to CONNECT to a DB2 for Linux, UNIX and Windows server. Step TWO. If the CONNECT is successful, and the authorization name for the connection is longer than 8 bytes, the remote server will send an SQLWARN1='A' back to DB2 for the z/OS requester. Then, an ABEND will occur because the DB2 for z/OS requester does not process the SQLWARN1 value correctly from the non-DB2 for z/OS server.
Problem conclusion
DB2 has been modified to correctly process an SQLCA that is not generated by a DB2 for z/OS server. Additional Keywords: SQLSP SQLNATIVESQLPL
