The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS does not describe its
requirements for or does not provide a procedure for the
Work Load Manager (WLM) specifications that should be used
for a WLM environment to execute various DB2 Admin stored
procedures provided by functions such as multi-target change
    management or reverse engineering.

This APAR provides an optional customization task/step in
the DB2 Admin customization process using IBM Tools
    Customizer for z/OS.

Comments

  • After applying this APAR, if you want to create a WLM
procedure to be used by the stored procedures provided in
DB2 Admin, follow the instructions below, otherwise, no
    action is needed.

    Instructions:

    1. Using IBM Tools Customizer for z/OS, navigate to panel
CCQPWRK 'Customizer Workplace' and issue line command 'E -
Edit' against each DB2 subsystem, and customize the value
of parameters 'WLM Environment Proc Name' and 'WLM
Environment NUMTCB' according to the needs of your
    environment.

    2. Navigate back to panel CCQPWRK 'Customizer Workplace',
issue line command 'E - Edit' against 'Product parameters',
then on panel CCQPPRD 'Product Parameters', select the task
    'Create the WLM address space'.

    3. Navigate back to panel CCQPWRK 'Customizer Workplace'
and issue line command 'G - Generate' to re-generate the
    customization jobs.

    4. Review and submit job template ADBCUST 'General
Customization' and ADBWLMP 'Create the WLM address
space' to register the WLM PROC name and WLM NUMTCB
into ADBTPARM and create the sample WLM procedure.
Follow the instructions in the generated WLM procedure
    to setup the WLM environment.

The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS User's Guide contains
the following instructions for setting up stored procedures
used by multi-target change and reverse engineering:

    Mutli-target changes:
    Version 11, Release 1: http://ibm.biz/BdHUMT
    Version 11, Release 2:http://ibm.biz/BdHUMk

Optional: Define Reverse Engineering stored procedure
    for CC/390:
