Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 1 Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: CSQX053E is issued reporting Error * * information in the CSQSNAP DD during * * channel initiator startup if the * * number of messages on queue * * SYSTEM.INTER.QMGR.FANREQ is greater * * than MAXUMSGS. * * The FFST indicates the error occurred * * in psiProcessProxySubs. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During channel initiator startup psiProcessProxySubs processes the messages on SYSTEM.INTER.QMGR.FANREQ to determine if any resynchronisation of proxy subscriptions is required due to changes to topics or subscriptions while the channel initiator was stopped. If the number of messages on this queue is greater than MAXUMSGS MQRC_SYNCPOINT_LIMIT_REACHED is returned when this routine attempts to get all of the required messages. This is not expected, and so the task reports the error and ends prematurely. No resynchronisation of proxy subscriptions takes place, and subsequent proxy subscription fanout requests are not processed.
Problem conclusion
psiProcessProxySubs is changed to commit periodically while processing any messages on the queue at startup, preventing the syncpoint limit being reached. 100Y CMQXZMUC
