    dropped and created.

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When using the DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS to drop and
    re-create a table which has an IDENTITY column, or to insert a
    new IDENTITY column to the table, the START value of the
    IDENTITY column in the DDL used to re-create the table was
    computed based upon the identity column attributes of the
    source catalog if panel GOC5 'Generate Compare Jobs' option
    'IDENTITY START value' is set to 'Computed' and the source
    is selected from the DB2 catalog.

Problem conclusion

  • Problem has been fixed. When panel GOC5 option 'IDENTITY START
    value' is set to 'Computed', the START value is always computed
    based upon the identity column attributes of the target
    catalog. If the identity column does not exist on the target
    prior to the change, then the original START value of the
    source identity column will be used to re-create the target
    table.
