Error description

  • A failure occurs during the quiesce utility run through DB2
    HPU/InfoUnload and a msgDSNU024I DSNUTILB - PARM FIELD ERROR -
    'ssid,uid.jobname' issued.
    This occurs if :
    - a QUIESCE utility is requested (either via the QUIESCE YES or
QUIESCECAT YES options or by default)
    - the userid that runs the unload job is more than 7 character
      long
    - no utilid is specified via the PARM field of the unload EXEC
    statement
because the utilid build by DB2 HPU/InfoUnload is more than 16
characters long. In such a situation DB2 HPU/InfoUnload used to
truncate the userid to build a valid utilid.

Local fix

  • Consider running the job with another userid or specifying a
valid utilid via the PARM field of the EXEC card.
