PI50685: DB2 ADMIN TOOL UNLOAD UTILITY USING ADBTEP2 WHEN DSNUPROC EXPECTED

Obtain the fix for this APAR.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• Generally speaking, Admin tool will choose ADBTEP2 to run WSL
  for UNLOAD TABLESPACE utility if such table space contain
  LOB/XML, otherwise Admin tool should choose DSNUPROC to run
  UNLOAD TABLESPACE utility.
  
  After running once with Utility control option "Generate work
  statement list . . YES", ADB2TEP is used instead of DSNUPROC.
  
  By specifying Utility control option "Review/change options",
  "YES", leaving everything blank except "DELIMITED . . NO", the
  JCL is created with  EXEC DSNUPROC.
  
  But if I specify Utility control option "Review/change options"
  "NO", it goes back to using ADBTEP2 when DSNUPROC is expected.
  

Local fix

• Specify Utility control option "Review/change options . . YES",
  leaving everything blank except "DELIMITED . . NO", the JCL is
  created with  EXEC DSNUPROC.

  otherwise DB2 Admin should choose DSNUPROC to run the UNLOAD
  TABLESPACE utility.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problem has been resolved.
