PI49427: ABENDU3042 IN DFSESPR0 ON RETURN FROM DFSESGO FC=SSESFATX.

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABENDU3042 follows an abendu0777 (deadlock) due to abend0c1 when
  DFSESD40 attempts to call DFSESAT0 using entry point in LESE,
  LESEATEP. The module is no longer in storage due to the prior
  u0777 abend.

• Recycle the dependent region (MPR)

  During the processing of deadlock resolution, the daughter TCB
  in an MPR is terminated and reattached. During reattach,
  DFSESPR0 calls DFSESGO FC=SSESFATX, which leads to DFSESD40
  calling DFSESAT0 using the entry point address in the LESEATEP.
  DFSESAT0 was deleted when the daughter TCB was previously
  detached but the LESE was not updated to reflect the module was
  no longer loaded.
  

Problem conclusion

• DFSESD40 is changed to load DFSESAT0 and associate it to the job
  step TCB instead of the daughter. When the daughter is
  terminated for a psuedo abend, DFSESAT0 will not be deleted.
