PI49098: ALAA440E WHEN PROCESSING A SPANNED LOG RECORD AND MISC ONLY FILTERS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• An ALAA440E is possible when processing a spanned log record
  while using only miscellaneous filters.  The logic used when
  processing the spanned log record during the detail report was
  not correct which lead to a log record not being applied.  This
  caused the pre and post images to be the same which resulted in
  ALAA440E being issued.
  

Local fix

• Use an object filter so this log record will be processed in the
  General Report and not have to be processed in the Details
  Report. Hi-Speed processing may be a way to get around this
  issue as well.
