APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• PTF's UI30458 and UI30459 did not contain the fix for PI44846.
  This APAR is to resend PTF's including the fix for PI44846.
  The original problem from PI44846 was:
  
  
  Multiple calls from non-LE enabled code to COBOL V5 results in
  reinitialization even when RTEREUS is ON.  Performance is
  degraded due to the loading and deleting of modules such as
  CEEBINIT that occur during initialization and termination.
  

Local fix

• Do not use alternate ENTRY.

  There was an error in handling alternate ENTRY points under
  RTEREUS, resulting in the COBOL program being run as though
  RTEREUS was not in effect.
  

Problem conclusion

• The COBOL runtime library has been fixed to process alternate
  ENTRY points correctly under the RTEREUS option.
