PI48101: ABENDU0071 IN HALDB TOOLKIT (MAINTAIN) WITH ORF AFTER MESSAGE IHC01173I IS ISSUED FOR UNSUPPORTED PSINDEX

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• ABENDU0071 in HALDB Toolkit (MAINTAIN) with ORF after message
  IHC01173I is issued for unsupported PSINDEX.  After issuing
  IHC01173I, MAINTAIN with ORF should be terminated immediately.
  The ABENDU0071 occurred during the UNLOAD of the files.
  As echoed in the job log:
  1. The main PSINDEX DB (WGPCLMS1 was set to NOREORGI)
  2. Then set to NOAUTH
  3. A shadow partition was allocated successfully
  4. Copy to shadow
  5. Unload started here is where the U0071 occurred.

  Since MAINTAIN with ONLINE(Y) does not support PSINDEX, it
  should be terminated immediately after issuing IHC01173I message
  as described in the Messages and Codes on DBSP HALDB Toolkit
  User's guide. However, the MAINTAIN process continued due to
  an improper error handling logic after issuing IHC01173I.
  Therefore, ABENDU0071 occurred during the unload of the
  files instead of the immediate termination.
  

Problem conclusion

• IHCWTDB0 has been changed to terminate immediately with
  IHC01121E message after issuing IHC01173I.
