  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: This APAR removes the restriction of    *
  *                      using PAD control statement and fixes   *
  *                      the problem of using PAD for HISAM.     *
  *                      This APAR also fixes the problem that   *
  *                      creates WFP record for deleted index    *
  *                      source segment.                         *

  * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR.         *

  This APAR removes the following restriction when using PAD
  control statement:
  
  When all of the following conditions are met, the difference in
  the segment length is padded with X'00' regardless of the value
  specified on the PAD statement:
  
    Segments are defined as fixed-length segments.
    The use of a segment edit/compression exit is defined for
    the segments.
    The length of the segments is increased because the DBD
    definition changed.
    The unloaded data set is created in decompressed format.
  

Problem conclusion

• This APAR fixes the following problems:
  
  - PAD specification is ignored for HISAM database.
  - WFP record for rebuilding PSINDEX is created for deleted index
    source segment. This causes FABP0326E or FABP2024E pointer
    error in running IMS High Performance Pointer Checker for z/OS
    due to the existence of index entry for deleted segment.
