When setting the 'Maxerrors' value to 0 for ADBTEP2 on panel
ADB2UPA 'Batch Job Utility Parameters', the Maxerrors=0 value
does not appear in the ADBTEP2 MAXE parameter list causing
the user to think the default value for 'Maxerrors' is -1.
The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS User's Guide and
Reference does not mention a default value for the 'Maxerrors'
    option.

Problem conclusion

  • The problem has been resolved. The help panel ADBHUPA 'DB2
Batch Job Utility Parameters' has been updated to specify
    the default value:

The value for maxerrors specifies the number of DSN commands
that can fail before the ADBTEP2 processing is stopped:

-1 All DSN errors are ignored. The job is not stopped
            for any error.
0 No DSN errors are ignored. The job is stopped on the
first error. This is the default value.

The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS User's Guide and
Reference for Version 10, Release 2, and Version 11,
    Release 1 has been updated:

    Chapter 15: Running DB2 utilities
                    >Using table space utilities>
                        Changing batch job utility parameters

    ADBTEP2: Maxerrors
The number of DSN commands that can fail before the batch
    restart job ADBTEP2 is stopped:
    -1
All errors are ignored. The batch job is not stopped for any
    error.
    0
No errors are allowed. The batch job is stopped on the first
error. This is the default value.
