The default value for Maxerrors in ADBTEP2 is 0, but the manual and help panel do not mention any default value for Maxerrors. And when the user sets the Maxerrors to 0 on the panel ADB2UPA the value for Maxerrors does not appear in ADBTEP2 MAXE parm.

Problem conclusion
The problem has been resolved. The help panel ADBHUPA 'DB2 Batch Job Utility Parameters' has been updated to specify the default value: The value for maxerrors specifies the number of DSN commands that can fail before the ADBTEP2 processing is stopped: -1 All DSN errors are ignored. The job is not stopped for any error. 0 No DSN errors are ignored. The job is stopped on the first error. This is the default value. The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS User's Guide and Reference for Version 10, Release 2, and Version 11, Release 1 has been updated: Chapter 15: Running DB2 utilities >Using table space utilities> Changing batch job utility parameters ADBTEP2: Maxerrors The number of DSN commands that can fail before the batch restart job ADBTEP2 is stopped: -1 All errors are ignored. The batch job is not stopped for any error. 0 No errors are allowed. The batch job is stopped on the first error. This is the default value.
