Problem summary

• ****************************************************************
  * USERS AFFECTED: All QMF for TSO/CICS V11.1 users using a QMF *
  *                 governor.                                    *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Users may experience an ABEND0C4 in     *
  *                      DSQCCISW CSECT DSQIRCTL at or around    *
  *                      offset x'DE0'. The abend may occur at   *
  *                      any time during QMF invocation,         *
  *                      termination or runtime.                 *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  Users who have QMF governor resource groups with the
  Q.RESOURCE_VIEW.CHARVAL column set to a zero length string may
  run into this abend. These resource groups might have been
  created by QMF HPO or QMF for Workstation.
  

Problem conclusion

• Module DSQIRCTL has been modified to check for zero length
  strings.
