PI41766: DBRC CONTINUATION CHARACTER NOT GENERATED FOR LONG KEYSTRINGS

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• DBRC continuation character not generated for long keystrings.
  If your HALDB-DataBase is spread unevenly across 3 partitions.
  You may want to use the "Maintain"-Utility to correct this. And,
  you may use long keys to achieve that. You will find that the
  maintain utility unloads the database successfully. When generat
  -ing the DBRC commands to change.part the keystrng values that
  are longer than 80 bytes will not generate a continuation char-
  acter. So, a DBRC error occurs and the utility stops.

  when long value for KEYSTRING is defined.
  Since MAINTAIN function with KEYSORDR(Y) does not generate
  continuation character for CHANGE.PART DBRC command, it can
  cause ABENDU0999 with the following messages from DBRC:
    DSP0210I  CLOSING QUOTE DELIMITER MISSING - ONE IS ASSUMED
    DSP0205I  PARENTHESES ERROR AFTER KEYWORD KEYSTRNG
    DSP0209I  PROCESSING TERMINATED WITH CONDITION CODE = 12
  

Problem conclusion

• IHCWTDRC has been changed to generate a continuation character
  for CHANGE.PART DBRC command when KEYSORDR(Y) is specified.
