  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for     *
  *                 z/OS who use the 'AL - Alter' or 'ALT -      *
  *                 Redefine function' command to alter a        *
  *                 function.                                    *

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The following issues are observed:      *
  *                                                              *
  *                      1- When using the 'AL - Alter' command  *
  *                      to alter a function with mixed case     *
  *                      EXTERNAL NAMES, the external name is    *
  *                      converted to uppercase on panel         *
  *                      ADB26CFV 'Create  Function'.            *
  *                                                              *
  *                      2- When using the 'ALT - Redefine       *
  *                      function' command to alter a function   *
  *                      with mixed case EXTERNAL NAMES          *
  *                      on panel ADB21F 'Functions' the         *
  *                      external name is converted to           *
  *                      uppercase on panel ADBP7F 'Redefine     *
  *                      Function'.                              *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  The following issues are observed:
  
  1- When using the 'AL - Alter' command to alter a function
  with mixed case EXTERNAL NAMES, the external name is converted
  to uppercase on panel ADB26CFV 'Create Function'.
  
  2- When using the 'ALT - Redefine function' command to alter
  a function with mixed case EXTERNAL NAMES on panel ADB21F
  'Functions' external name is converted to uppercase on panel
  ADBP7F 'Redefine Function'.
  

Problem conclusion

• Problems have been resolved.
