PI41302: DB2 ADMIN TOOL PANEL ADB2ZBA2, LINE COMMAND AL ON DB2 FOR Z/OS V11 RETURNS 'MUST BE NUMERIC'

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• When connected to DB2 for z/OS V11, DB2 Admin Tool panel
  ADB2ZBA2 - "DB2A Alter Buffer Pools", line command AL - "Alter
  buffer pool" returns 'Must be numeric'.
  

Local fix

• Enter an asterisk, '*', in fields  VPSIZEMIN &  VPSIZEMAX on
  panel ADB2ZBA8 to bypass the error message.

  *                      setting of 0, and VPSIZE is changed     *
  *                      on panel ADB2ZBA8 'Alter Buffer         *
  *                      Pool', DB2 Admin fails with the         *
  *                      following error:                        *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  When using the 'AL - Alter buffer pool' line command on
  panel ADB2ZBA2 'Alter Buffer Pools', and VPSZMIN and
  VPSZMAX have a buffer pool setting of 0, and the VPSIZE
  value is changed on panel ADB2ZBA8 'Alter Buffer Pool',
  DB2 Admin fails with the following error:
