Error description

  • DB2 Object Comparison Tool for z/OS does not check the
    TIMESTAMP default scale to ignore the difference when comparing
    Stored Procedures created in DB2 V9 for z/OS to DB2 10 for z/OS
    

Local fix

  • Workaround is to specify SYSPARMS:SCALE in IGNORES file.

    *                 (UDF), or Stored Procedures with a           *
    *                 TIMESTAMP data type.                         *

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When comparing UDTs, UDFs or Stored     *
    *                      Procedures created on a DB2 level       *
    *                      prior to DB2 10 New Function Mode       *
    *                      (NFM) with the ones created on DB2      *
    *                      10 New Function mode, Object Compare    *
    *                      incorrectly reports a difference        *
    *                      on the TIMESTAMP data type even         *
    *                      though both TIMESTAMP data types        *
    *                      being compared are defined with         *
    *                      default precision 6.                    *

    *                      Compare Stored Procedure                *
    *                      definition source(>spname<) and         *
    *                      target (>spname<)                       *
    *                      Call Parameter number 1                 *

    When comparing UDTs, UDFs or Stored Procedures created on a
    DB2 level prior to DB2 10 New Function Mode (NFM) with the ones
    created on DB2 10 New Function Mode, Object Compare incorrectly
    reports a difference on the TIMESTAMP data type even though
    both TIMESTAMP data types being compared are defined with
    default precision 6.
