• This APAR will also address some panel flow issues related to

  * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for     *
  *                 z/OS who issue the DDL line command against  *
  *                 various objects.                             *
  ****************************************************************
  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When issuing the DDL line command or    *
  *                      the GEN line command against a database *
  *                      on panel ADB21D 'Databases', the user   *
  *                      can edit all of the DDL statements in   *
  *                      panel ISREDDE2 at the start of the      *
  *                      process.  It is followed by panel       *
  *                      ADB2GEND 'SQL -Execute & Copy'.  After  *
  *                      Execute is processed, the user returns  *
  *                      to the list of objects instead of being *
  *                      allowed to edit the DDL a second time.  *
  *                                                              *
  *                      The same problem occurs for other       *
  *                      object types supported by the DDL and   *
  *                      GEN line commands.                      *

  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
  ****************************************************************
  When issuing the DDL line command or the GEN line command
  against a database on panel ADB21D 'Databases', the user
  can edit all of the DDL statements in panel ISREDDE2 at the
  start of the process.  It is followed by panel ADB2GEND
  'SQL -Execute & Copy'.  After Execute is processed, the user
  returns to the list of objects instead of being allowed to edit
  the DDL a second time.
  
  The same problem occurs for other object types supported by the
  DDL command.
  

Problem conclusion

• The problem has been resolved.
  
  The DDL and GEN line command processing has changed.  New
  panel ADBPEDD2, 'Edit DDL Statements', is used to display
  the DDL statements.  The user must issue the EXECUTE command
  from within the editor panel ADBPEDD2 rather than select
  processing on a subsequent panel.
