Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: All users of WebSphere MQ for z/OS Version 7 * * Release 0 Modification 1 and Release 1 * * Modification 0. * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: During the start-up of the channel * * initiator, if a new queue manager joins * * the same queue sharing group within a * * similar time frame, abend 5C6-00D40054 * * in CSQMWLBR may be issued. * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** During channel initiator start-up, work load balancing data is read. In this processing the XCF data is read for the state of the queue managers in the Queue Sharing Group. However if a new queue manager has joined the QSG, within a short time to the channel initiator start-up, the XCF data returned by CSQ5RXCF, as it may use a cached copy of the XCF data, may not contain the new queue manager. If when CSQMWLBR attempts to set the state for the returned XCF data, it cannot find the newly joined queue manager it will abend CSQM_ABEND_QMGR_NOT_FOUND_IN_XCFDATA (5C6-00D40054).
Problem conclusion
CSQ5RXCF has been altered to always get the latest XCF data when called by CSQMWLBR in this case, ensuring the new queue manager is contained in the returned XCF, so can be found by CSQMWLBBR. 010Y 100Y CSQ5RXCF
