Error description

• OmPE SERVER STC output shows the following error:

  DURING HISTORY INDEX INITIALIZATION

  IDCAMS VERIFY on the "corrupted" Snapshot History data
  set showed no VSAM error. To resolve this problem customer
  has done delete and reallocate Snapshot History data set

  *                      restarted, initialization of the index  *
  *                      for the Snapshot History data set       *
  *                      fails. Message FPEV0519S is issued and  *
  *                      Snapshot History monitoring starts      *
  *                      collecting data into a new data set.    *

  PROBLEM SUMMARY:
  A Snapshot History data set wrap around occurred and the
  currently stored snapshot was placed just before the latest end
  of data mark when Snapshot History became stopped.
  During Snapshot History start up the data set is read and the
  previous end of data mark is used instead of the last
  inserted snapshot. This causes an overrun and detection of
  inconsistent data, which reside between the last inserted
  snapshot and the end of data mark. The data set is erroneously
  reported as corrupted.
  
  PROBLEM CONCLUSION:
  The code reading the Snapshot History data set has been
  corrected accordingly.
