    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: The DAI client's user id may be *
    * presented to the ITKB server with *
    * an extraneous eight character. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
    When forming a user id to be used by the ITKB server, DAI's SOT
    appends the eight character of its own user id to the client's
    user id. This causes an invalid user id to be presented to
    the ITKB server and results in security system logon errors,
    For example: ICH408I USER NOT RACF-DEFINED.

    This will only occur when the SOT's STARTED class definition
    specifies an eight character user id and security processing
    is enabled in the ITKB server.

Problem conclusion

  • DAI's SOT will correctly form the user id
