*                 the LINKAGE section, unless defined as the   *
*                 first elementary item in a group.            *

* PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: Incorrect FILE STATUS returned or       *
*                      ABEND 0C4 when end-of-file reached      *
*                      during QSAM READ.                       *

The COBOL runtime library was incorrectly calculating of the
address of the FILE STATUS data item when it's defined as a
LINKAGE SECTION item, unless defined as the first elementary
item in a group.
