APAR status

  • Closed as new function.

Error description

  • Preconditioning in support of new function.
    This APAR addresses these issues:
    1. V14 of IMS Connect introduces a number of new commands with
which the user may dynamically modify resources which are
    used by IMS Connect Extensions.
    2. Pre-routing exit not being called the 4th time for the
    fallback list.
    3. Requirement: Enhance the pre-routing exit interface CEXRBUXT
so that in addition to disqualifying a Tmember, it is also able
to provide a reason code explaining why the Tmember was
    disqualified.
    4. An abend 0C4 can occur in module CEXTECL if an input message
from the Soap Gateway fails to be converted due to a converter
error. The input message payload must be larger than 64K for
the abend to occur. Preceding the 0C4 was a very large overlay
of storage as the length field of an MVCL was negative. This
resulted in a later abend in module FUNTDB01 but that may not
always be the case depending upon the amount of data overlaid.
The abend may be preceded by ICON message HWSA0345E ADAPTER
    HWSXMLA0 ENCOUNTERED AN ERROR: R=???
    5. Archive job not honoring abnormal termination disposition
    6. Locate <portnum> on panel CEXOPSV2 causes dialog error
ISPV007 "Invalid data characters. Data for FIXED format
variable "PORT" was not FIXED characters."
    7. FUN1007E Processing error 000A0206 when REXX command QUERY
SESSION and FUNROPTS trace active returns a large amount of
    output.
    8. Alternate Transaction information is not reported by the
    REXX or ISPF clients.
    9. Inconsistent text description shown in CEX5575I
    10. CEX5198W appears when ODBM rules based routing is inactive.

Comments

  • The following changes have been made for the above issues:
1.Respond to the new events which report the dynamic changes
to resources and update the IMS Connect Extension's internal
    representation of these resources.
2.Routing process has been changed to call the pre-routing
    exit correctly.
3.The pre-routing exit (CEXRBUXT) interface is modified to
    support reason codes.
4.The IRM trace code x'A4' in module CEXTECL has been updated
to recognize that the routine has been called after a failure
of the XML converter process and to do additional sanity
checking of the format of the application payload when it is
    called.
5.Archive utility abends are no longer masked as CC=12.
    6.Corrected definition of PORT variable.
7.Limit FUNROPTS trace records to the available buffer size.
8.Add Alternate Transaction information to the REXX QUERY
SESSION response and the ISPF Active Sessions detail page.
9.Corrected logic in CEXMAIN to properly detect that ODBM rules
based routing was inactive, also improved the wording of
    messages CEX5198W and CEX5189W.
10.Format of CEX5575I message has been simplified:
CEX5575I IMS Connect has closed the session, RSN=n
RSN=1 The IVP received a 0 length record
RSN=2 The IVP received TCPIP ERROR number 54
