Problem summary

*                      the "A" attribute.                      *

The COBOL runtime library was changed to update the RECFM at
OPEN time for QSAM files when AFTER ADVANCING is used.

Problem conclusion

  • Apply provided service.
When a dataset's RECFM is missing the "A" attribute, some tools
may incorrectly display the content in the dataset.  The
ADVANCING control character has always been correctly generated.
