• Security does not handle principal name or unique id that

  Principal names and unique IDs containing certain characters,
  such as '/' at the end of the name or ID, were not handled
  properly by the security runtime. Logins for users with such IDs
  might produce exceptions, FFDCs, or failed login attemps.
  

Problem conclusion

• The security runtime has been corrected to handle these IDs
  properly. Principal names and IDs should now be able to contain
  any set of characters.
  The fix for this APAR is currently targeted for inclusion in fix
  pack 8.5.5.4.  Please refer to the Recommended Updates page for
  delivery information:
