Error description

  • Using IMS HALDB Toolkit to simulate repartitioning of a HALDB
with the ANALYZEPART command. When specifying PARTITION(*) or
multiple partition names with PARTLIST parameter to
    ANALYZEPART command, ABEND0C1 occurred because
    IHCWANA3(UI19674) + 4DE' branch to address x'9C4E10C0', but
the storage at x'9C4E10C0' contains x'0000'.
The problem doesn't occur when one partition name is specified
    with PARTITION or PARTLIST parameter.

    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: ANALYZEPART and MAINTAIN functions can *
    *                      cause ABENDS0C1 or ABENDU0999 when the  *
    * input data sets are M-V data sets. *
    ****************************************************************
    * RECOMMENDATION: Apply the maintenance for this APAR. *
    ****************************************************************
HALDB Toolkit has not checked whether input data sets are M-V
    data sets.
Since some codes have not adequately met the M-V data sets,
ANALYZEPART and MAINTAIN functions can cause ABENDS0C1 or
    ABENDU0999 with the following message:
     - IHC01000E REORG# update process ended with error

Problem conclusion

  • IHCWANA3 and IHCWTDB1 have been changed to add the special logic
    for M-V data sets.
