Changing the primary key constraint name without also changing
the constraint key is not currently supported.

Problem conclusion

  • New error message ADB588E / msgadb588e is now issued if an
attempt is made to change the primary key constraint name
without changing the constraint key. In addition, new message
ADB589E / msgadb589e is now issued when adding a new primary
or unique key constraint without specifying any columns for
    its key.

The following new messages are added:

ADB588E You must change one or more keys in order to change
    the primary key constraint name.

    Explanation
You cannot change the primary key constraint name without also
changing one or more keys for the constraint.
    System action
    Processing stops.
    User response
Change one or more of the constraint columns, or restore the
    original constraint name.

ADB589E You must choose one or more columns for the
    constraint key.

    Explanation
You must specify one or more columns for the constraint key
when adding a primary or unique key constraint.
    System action
    Processing stops.
    User response
Specify one or more columns for the key before proceeding.
