    * USERS AFFECTED: Users of the DB2 Administration Tool for     *
    *                 z/OS who make a change to the limit key      *
    *                 values of a partitioned table space.         *
    ****************************************************************
    * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When using the ALTPART line command     *
    *                      on panel ADB27C 'ALTER Table' to        *
    *                      alter a partition of a table-based      *
    *                      partitioned table, DB2 Admin issues     *
    *                      a warning message ADB448W / msgadb448w: *
    *                                                              *
    *                      "Limit key values are not in proper     *
    *                      ascending or descending order."         *
    *                                                              *
    *                      Problem may happen when the             *
    *                      partitioning column is either           *
    *                      DECIMAL, INTEGER, SMALLINT or BIGINT    *
    *                      and the limit key value of the          *
    *                      changed partition has less digits in    *
    *                      the integer part of the number than     *
    *                      the other partitions.                   *

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

    When using the ALTPART line command on panel ADB27C 'ALTER
    Table' to alter a partition of a table-based partitioned
    table, DB2 Admin issues a warning message ADB448W /
    msgadb448w:
    
    "Limit key values are not in proper ascending or descending
    order."
    
    Problem may happen when the partitioning column is either
    DECIMAL, INTEGER, SMALLINT or BIGINT and the limit key value
    of the changed partition has less digits in the integer
    part of the number than the other partitions.
