PI22149: LAUNCHPAD TBOPEN ERROR: TABLE IN USE TBOPEN ISSUED FOR TABLE ADBDMT THAT IS IN USE, ENQUEUE

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The DB2 Administration Tool for z/OS' Launchpad does not have
  a browse function so when customer use the ADD, DEL or UPD
  commands to maintain a table entry it causes the following
  message to be issued for other users:
  TBOPEN error: Table in use
  TBOPEN issued for table ADBDMT that is in use, ENQUEUE faild.

  (Update) are used from panel ADBDMT 'DB2 Tools Launchpad' to
  display panel ADBDMTI 'DB2 Tools Table -  Update An Entry'
  and the user stays on panel ADBDMTI, other users can not
  access DB2 Admin or any other product listed on the DB2 Tools
  Launchpad panel.  This behavior results in the following error
  message:
